The picture here looks a little ugly, but this is a very nice, sleek-looking carafe. It's the cheapest one listed -- and it WORKS very well. I was confused looking for carafes because I couldn't quite understand how much they would actually hold. I wanted a 10-cup french press coffee maker, and a carafe that would hold about that much liquid. I got my 10-cup press and this carafe, and found that if I poured one mug of coffee from the press first, the rest would just fit into this carafe. It keeps the liquid good and hot, and though the description says it will keep contents hot for 2 hours, I poured coffee in this in the morning, and when I came home from work in the evening there was a little bit of coffee left in it, and it was STILL PIPING HOT... ...Believe me it's perfect. Definitely worth the [money]. And it'll look good in your kitchen -- don't let the picture fool you.

A thoroughly modern design sets this carafe apart, you might even think of it as kind of space age. The thumb lever makes pouring easy, an added benefit.This Bullet carafe lives up to its bold name: its sleek, clever, and very practical design is right on the mark. The Bullet has a wide, round base; a pointed black top resembling the nose of an airplane; and a streamlined handle and spout. It also has an incredibly cute and easy-to-use push-button dispenser that requires just a quick flick of the thumb to pour. The shiny mirror-finish chrome exterior reinforces its modern, minimalist design. The top of the pot screws off easily so you can add up to 1 quart (4 cups) of liquid. The carafe keeps hot or cold beverages at the desired temperature for hours. Note that the broad handle, while attractive, requires extra effort to grasp, especially because the pot is surprisingly heavy for its size. --Emily Wolf
