Customer Review: Well made but no locking closure

Having purchased a couple of Mario Batali's ceramic items in the past, I was anxious to try these tongs. They are sturdy, well made but they are large and have no locking ring for storage. ??? Who has the drawer space for a huge set of tongs that don't close down when not being used? This is a huge flaw in my book.
